Unlock Your Professional Potential With Funded Coaching
Workplace coaching, funded by the government
If you’re neurodivergent and finding work difficult — whether that’s concentration, communication, organisation, or just getting through the day without burning out — you may be entitled to free coaching through the UK Government’s Access to Work scheme.
I offer workplace coaching funded through Access to Work, helping neurodivergent people identify the challenges they face at work and develop practical, realistic strategies to navigate them.
What is Access to Work?
Access to Work is a UK Government grant scheme that helps people with a disability, health condition, or neurodivergent condition get the support they need to thrive in work or self-employment. It’s available whether you’re just starting out in your career or have been in your role for years.
You don’t need a formal diagnosis to apply — but the more detail you give about the challenges you face, the stronger your application will be. To get started, fill in the Access to Work online application form. It can take time to be assessed, so apply sooner rather than later.
What We Can Work On
Your needs are at the centre of every session. Some common areas we can explore include:
- Time management and prioritisation
- Organisational skills and structuring your day
- Concentration and focus
- Communication and assertiveness
- Giving and receiving feedback
But these are just examples. If you’re not sure what to focus on, that’s fine — we can navigate that together.
How Sessions Work
Our sessions are confidential, inclusive, and non-judgemental. I will never share what you tell me with your employer or the DWP. When we begin working together, I’ll give you a client handbook that sets out exactly what information I record, what I do with it, and when.
Sessions take place online via Google Meet or Zoom. They typically run for one hour, though we can flex between 30 and 90 minutes depending on your needs and award. The DWP recommends 3-hour sessions, but these are purely a recommendation — we work at your pace.
If you need to move around, take breaks, or have fidget toys to hand, all of that is completely fine. Sessions are on your terms.
How to Start Working With Me
Once you have your Access to Work award, get in touch and I’ll confirm I can support you. If I’m the right fit, you can submit my quote to the DWP alongside two others (as required). From there, we’ll arrange a schedule that works with your award and your needs.
If your employer is managing your Access to Work claim on your behalf, ask them to get in touch directly so we can coordinate the practicalities. Either way, our sessions remain entirely confidential — your employer will not receive any details of what we discuss.
Payment is due at the standard organisational rate, invoiced after each session. Access to Work typically reimburses within a reasonable timeframe, but if payment from the DWP is delayed by more than four weeks from the invoice date, the outstanding amount becomes your responsibility to settle directly. I’d ask that you factor this in before we begin, and please do flag it to me early if you’re having difficulties — I’d always rather have that conversation than let it become a bigger problem.
Not sure if you qualify or have questions before applying? Get in touch — I’m happy to chat through what I know from my own experience.
